Come and find me, I'm not so far away, Waiting for you in a place that we can stay, I didn't know that I was lost until you found me, Whisper gently, and wrap your arms around me Here in the darkness I hear you calling I don't know where up is, but I feel like I'm falling, When nothing is certain, it's so reassuring That the unexpected can become a sure thing It's not like anything I know, and I promise you that I'm not letting go, They'll come and find us in this place, and so, Until that day comes I'm not letting go, I'm not letting go Saying nothing somehow says it all It's not the ground that will get you, it's the fall, And I'm not reckless but living safe is done with, Climb the mountain and dance upon the summit Here in the darkness I heard you calling, I don't know where we'll go, but it won't be boring, When nothing is certain, it's so reassuring That the unexpected can become a sure thing It's not like anything I know, And I promise you that I'm not letting go, They'll come to find us in this place and so Until that day comes I'm not letting go, I had to look above and down below To find you, and now I'm not letting go, Promises, you know they come and go, But I promise you that I'm not letting go, I'm not letting go.

The wind is blowing through the trees, The branches shaking with the leaves, As though they're begging, begging please, Please don't count us here with these. The breeze is blowing strong and hard As I stare into the dark, As time goes by, I'm losing heart, Do I give in and play my Parting is such sorrow Will I be here tomorrow? The monsters in the mirrors turn away, as if there's nothing left To say to me this time, No change in state, but nothing is the same, because I know this time The blame is only mine Scratches on my window pane Kind of start to feel the same, Was I the cause of all my pain As I danced closer to the flame? Voices out in the unknown Call me further from my home, As all the faces that I've shown Have now left me here a loneliness calls softly This choice is so costly The monsters in the mirrors turn away, as if there's nothing left To say to me this time, No change in state, but nothing is the same, because I know this time The blame is only mine

Bring the house lights down, the audience is here, Another drop or two will take away the fear, And it's been so long now you wonder if you knew What you were running from, or rather running to If you're not part of the chatter, then you think that you don't matter, But the world keeps getting madder Up this never-ending ladder The spectacle that you became was just a thing to entertain, A show before their eyes, A thousand hands around, and all applauding as they watched you fall To something you despised, But never filled the emptiness, or ever seemed to catch the tears you cried. Are the empty seats a reflection of your soul? Is the crowd's applause just meant to fill that hole? And when the party's gone, and all have turned away, The only thing they've given you, all that you have left to say is Since you're not part of the chatter, Then you never really mattered, But the world keeps getting madder Up this never-ending ladder The spectacle that you became was just a thing to entertain, A show before their eyes, A thousand hands around, and all applauding as they watched you fall To something you despised, But never filled the emptiness, or ever seemed to catch the tears you cried. Don't see me, I know, Don't leave me, I'll go, This all was for show, Believe me, I know, Come see me, it's true, I'm not hiding from you, It's no secret what God can do The spectacle that you became was just a thing to entertain, A show before their eyes, A thousand hands around, and all applauding as they watched you fall To something you despised, But never filled the emptiness, or ever seemed to catch the tears you cried.

Fly By Night 03:15
It was a matter of time, What was she looking to find, Or was she falling behind just to be here And was it really alright That she was called to fight But preferred the flight to be anywhere? And at the end of the day Was it all falling away? She said that she couldn't say, just to be clear Oh... And if it's fly by night, then she'll sing by day And I don't know if it's all a bluff, Cos she doesn't care if it all falls away As far as she's concerned, forever isn't long enough She said that they wouldn't last Cos they were stuck in the past, And time was going by fast, making history. And could she really be sure That they weren't looking for more? Because a hand at the door was a mystery, And she had done her part, Which was a matter of art, So she hardened her heart to it, didn't she? Oh... And if it's fly by night, then she'll sing by day And I don't know if it's all a bluff, Cos she doesn't care if it all falls away, As far as she's concerned, forever isn't long enough Don't stand, don't move, and don't you breathe, Don't ever try to bend your knee, Don't take a step, and try to see the ones who are the least of these Don't stand, don't move, and don't you breathe, Don't ever try to bend your knee, Don't take a step, and try to free, The ones who are the least of these. Oh... And if it's fly by night, then she'll sing by day And I don't know if it's all a bluff, Cos she doesn't care if it all falls away, As far as she's concerned, forever isn't long enough

The miles rose between us, unheeded and unchecked, We turned around to try to see the few that we had left, The things I used to recognise started to seem strange, Thought time had gone against us, thought that time had come for change. It's funny how the story always seems to go, Looking at the places that I used to know, It was never my intention, but time just passed me by, It's funny how the story always seems the same, Standing at the places that I used to stray, So one last chance, I'll give it one more try To find my way back to you The city called out to me, I tried to find my place, Hours turned to days and weeks since I had seen your face, I'm hoping for forgiveness, just another chance, Hoping that the things we had were more than circumstance
6.
Sleep, tomorrow it'll keep And I'll still be here waiting for the next day's call Here, the memories remain, And I can't hold the river in my hands, I hope you understand That we are waiting, hoping, praying, Here to see the magic that is you. And I fell off the world, fell to outer space, Hoping for some answers but instead I found a place Where we won't be apart, it's not far as it seems, We've still got forever and I'll meet you in our dreams... I've loved your heart's every beat, The sound of every breath you took, and the patter of your feed, I know the smell of every hair, The flash of every smile and just knowing you were there So come with me We'll chase the sunset, like we just met, Yeah we can make some memories that won't fade And I fell off the world, fell to outer space, Hoping for some answers but instead I found a place Where we won't be apart, it's not far as it seems, We've still got forever and I'll meet you in our dreams And our resistance to this distance cannot take the time that we have here And softly, slowly, letting go we are still here, we're right here with you And I fell off the world, fell to outer space, Hoping for some answers but instead I found a place Where we won't be apart, it's not far as it seems, We've still got forever and I'll meet you in our dreams

My mind is drawing a blank right now The coffee's cold and I'm out for the count, The clock is ticking but I'm falling behind, With every second I get closer to losing my mind. I need to breathe, come set me free I'm all dressed up but I'm going nowhere They say to me that you'll know when you get there, I'm always running just to stay in the same place, I say I'm happy, you say "somebody should tell your face"! It's par for the course, just flog a dead horse, Doesn't matter what we say, Go to bed, close your eyes, and be early to rise, Just another tired cliche And I'm out of my boat, and I'm trying to float, Truth be told, I'm getting tired Ode for the uninspired They say to come here while they go their own way, Don't ask my opinion and then tell me what to say, If you go that way, then I swear that I'll follow, Just need a minute, I'll get to it tomorrow I need to breathe, come set me free It's par for the course, just flog a dead horse, Doesn't matter what we say, Go to bed, close your eyes, and be early to rise, Just another tired cliche And I'm out of my boat, and I'm trying to float, Truth be told, I'm getting tired Ode for the uninspired

Icarus 05:05
Where did I think this all would end? Distant pieces now will mend, So breathe in deep now, the air it gets so thin To find your home in all the places you’ve been   Chorus Look at the horizon, I can see it so clear But it’s such a long way down from here, I won’t let joy be overtaken by fear, But it’s just a long way down from here, The miles are passing, one by one, Hold it together, Lord what have I done? I am Icarus, and you are the sun. Should I have looked before I leapt? The first adventure, a promise kept, So climb up higher, it’s time we lived out loud Finding peace with our heads up in the clouds Chorus Look at the horizon, I can see it so clear But it’s such a long way down from here, I won’t let joy be overtaken by fear, But it’s just a long way down from here, The miles are passing, one by one, Hold it together, lord what have I done, I am Icarus, and you are the sun. Bridge And even when we fall, Then aren’t we glad we risked it all, If pieces break away, We knew the chance we couldn’t stay, If this is the finish line, We won’t be done before our time, But this won’t end alone, To find these wings brought us home
9.
High Diver 03:41
Stand up high, point your toes, You can see it all from here, How you jump, no-one knows As you wait for your head to clear And I don't know how you do it, But I just can't look away, Breathe in deep, plan your landing It never hurts to change the world today. So I'll say it cos I mean it, but I swear that you can fly, Take a breath, high diver, and then go and kiss the sky, It's a stop into the open, and you're only halfway down, The only thing you have to fear is fear itself before you hit the ground. Let it in, feel the darkness, and then open up your eyes They say that home is where the heart is, but that comes as a surprise, And the wind is like an old friend who will whisper in your ear, Feel the rush, brace for impact, for in this moment you know why you're here. So I'll say it cos I mean it, but I swear that you can fly, Take a breath, high diver, and then go and kiss the sky, It's a stop into the open, and you're only halfway down, The only thing you have to fear is fear itself before you hit the ground.

Rise Again 03:33
Oh no, again it's me, thought by now that I would be Something I could recognise, Hello, I see it's you, show me someone that I knew, If I could see it in your eyes... All we are and we remain, finding comfort in our pain, Guess we'll fake it until then Start again eventually, let the silence cover me, Falling down to rise again And so the story goes as you tell it I suppose, At the centre of it all, I know it's not that way, say the things you've come to say, Is it just pride before a fall All we are and we remain, finding comfort in our pain, Guess we'll fake it until then Start again eventually, let the silence cover me, Falling down to rise again

So Eighties 02:41
Once upon a rhyme I was dancing for hours Lost track of time When we lay it on the line, Everything gets so crazy But we’ll be so fine Dancing along like we’re stuck in the eighties, Tuning it out while the world’s going crazy Letting ourselves get lost in the music Like this is the time and the place that we’re choosing, Finding yourself get lost in the feeling, We can dance on the floor, we can dance on the ceiling, Leave it all behind, and let it carry you home. Stand up on your chair The poets are dead, Were they ever there? They say it isn’t fair, Stand at the goal posts Put your fist in the air Dancing along like we’re stuck in the eighties, Tuning it out while the world’s going crazy Letting ourselves get lost in the music Like this is the time and the place that we’re choosing, Finding yourself get lost in the feeling, We can dance on the floor, we can dance on the ceiling, Leave it all behind, and let it carry you home.

Let the sunlight in,
It’s never been too late to try We can still begin, I don’t believe in fate sometimes The smile on my face, It didn’t take that long to find, And you I can’t replace, Because I know you are my kind Standing on the edge, You can see this town, We’re a long way up But we ain’t coming down Step over the line, In you I can confide, On the other side On the other side There’s more than we know, I’m looking for a place I trust, There’s miles down below, And this is just the start for us We don’t go alone, Take my hand and walk with me, Into the unknown, Just one more step and we’ll be free Standing on the edge, You can see this town, We’re a long way up But we ain’t coming down Step over the line, In you I can confide, On the other side On the other side HOO HOO HOO HOO HOOOOOOOO HOO HOO HOO HOO HOOOOOOOO <insert Tristan awesomeness here> Come now we can’t be late, We know that time won’t wait,
 It’s getting light outside,
See you on the other side

about

This album is a duet. It is worth noting that our band normally has more people in it.

A time capsule is, in many ways, a message to the future inasmuch as it is a tether to the past.
It says “here we were, as we were, to meet who you are, where you are.”

That's what this album is. Following some critical life events and the seclusion arising from mass epidemics, it rendered only two of us- who happened to live three blocks apart-as the only ones able to get together; it started with laying down older songs as demos that we'd never formally recorded, and morphed into re-igniting our love of songwriting and creating 6 brand new songs. A capture of the past, the present, and our hopes for the future.

We will have other projects with the rest of the guys but this is still very much a Redwoods album. We're delighted to share this moment in time with you.
